You talk about being a "musician" there is nothing musical about editing midi data after almost every take in my opinion. in fl studio it seems like one is always editing the midi data. if the take comes out wrong/bad cntl-z and do it again. I just like to turn the sequencer on and jam (like a musician even though i need to work on my basic math skills). it just takes away from the flow of the music making process in my opinion. i find after (almost) every take in fl studio i must edit the midi data. I input some midi data into cubase, live, or reason and there is no need to go to the piano roll and edit the midi data. I am strickly talking personal reference here.
