I tried to find the uberhood on MTS, but apparently it isn't there anymore. next, can you perform normal interactions with said Sim? If not, leave them alone! does the Sim have a proper first and surname? If not, leave them alone!

(This how I got to experience firsthand the end of the world - never doing that again.)ģ) Do not add certain NPCs to your family. Even using SimPE to clean up the memories is iffy because you need to go through every Sim's character file and you may miss one.Ģ) Do not delete Sims from the bin. The main problem seems to be memories other Sims have are not deleted. It has the same effect as using the occupied lots bin - data is not completely deleted and the bits left will cause corruption. Things like toddlers have LTWs, squiggly lines in thought bubbles (this one can also be the result of bad CC, so don't get too worried unless you have other signs), strings ($) in texts like memories, and one of my personal favorites that come later - Sims doing the crabwalk (if you have ever seen the movie Into the Mouth of Madness, this is what it reminds me of - quite creepy )ġ) Do not delete tombstones/urns. There will be signs of the coming apocalypse before your hoods go nuclear. And any new players certainly wouldn't know! That's why we weren't impressed when EA didn't broadcast some kind of warning. Yeah, a lot of people didn't get the memo about this. If you have SimPE, it is possible for you to do this yourself. I can't remember the sites you can dl merged hoods from at the moment, but will post again when I find them.

This allows all your Sims to interact with one another and moving from one hood to another is no problem. You have one hood that is your main and the rest are attached as shopping districts.

The best way to do this is to play with a merged hood (modded). Several of us were extremely upset when EA didn't at suggest to use this at your own risk after it was discovered that there was an issue. It might take a while, but eventually both hoods will crash when you try to enter them. It's supposed to delete the data from the neighborhood you move them from, but little bits are left behind that infect the files in that hood and will corrupt your hood. The process is not complete when you move Sims to another hood. OOh, don't do this! The occupied lots bin is very glitched!!!
